Student Handbook

Dear Prestwood Families,

 Welcome to all of you and to the 2008-2009 school year.  We begin this year with high expectations for outstanding academic growth for every student.  The goal for each student is not only academic growth, but social and emotional growth as well. We need your assistance, as our partners in your child's education, to accomplish our goals at Prestwood School.  I know that parent support has been at a high level through the years and the Prestwood staff wishes to thank you for being there for your child and for our school.

 

There will be numerous opportunities available for parent participation this school year.  I invite you to attend SVUSD Board meetings, Prestwood PTO, ELAC, and Site Council meetings, our PTO Family nights and to sign up as a school volunteer.  Also, check this calendar and our bi-weekly newsletter for other school events throughout the year.

 

Working together as partners to increase your child's academic, social and emotional needs is our number one priority.  We all welcome the opportunity to meet with you to discuss programs and individual needs.

 

This Handbook/Calendar is your at-home guide to what Prestwood School is all about.  Please review this guide with your child and use it throughout the year to answer questions that may arise.
